Beyoncé on the set of "If I were a boy"

Beyoncé on the set of 'Just like a boy'This here is a shot of Beyoncé getting her Policing on for her new music video for "Just like a boy". It's also the position I'd like to do her: hand on the back of her head, face down and rough.

There was a lot of folk comparing the subject of Beyoncé's song to Ciara's "Like a boy": understandable given the song titles. I also drew this comparison, but sometimes song titles can punk you. The shot above definitely looks like the song will be a case of romanticizing what it'd be like being a boy though. But it still may not be. It's not like we don't have female officers patroling the streets, arresting dudes. I guess we'll have to just wait and see!

I also love how the white police officer is looking smug, like "Yup! We got him. Another n***a in jail!" Hopefully there's a section in the video where Beyoncé strips off out of that uniform, takes off the hat to reveal L'Oreal conditioned hair and proceed to work her jelly in the middle of the street as she belts out the chorus. We all know Beyoncé never turns down an oppurtunity to work a miniscule dress, heels and will look for any excuse to thrash her weave. You best believe that police officer hat is coming off to allow her to do it.

It'll be interesting to hear how the song sounds, given it's produced by German pop producer Toby Gad (the man responsible for Fergie's "Big boys don't cry") and not an R&B producer. In Toby Gad related news, he's also been in the studio with Brandy for her forthcoming album Human.

  1. There's something hot about seeing Beyonce acting all tough in a cop uniform like that.

  2. Lol @ J

The title is "If I were a boy" !

Everybody is mixed up with "like a boy" (witch is normal)..Even *I* thought she could have change the title(just for that reason) BUT come on now, BEyoncé is Smarter then that,Shje nows everyone is going to make "the title remark" So she's is gonna make SURE it doesnt talk about(or even look closely)to what Ciara priviously did! That's a FACT!

As for what she's going to talk about or the music itself, well a couple of days ago,Someone comment about it on Toyas-world, and I found what he/she said very interesting and might actually be TRUE...So I wanted to share thta with U guys, then maybe we'll have some REAL INFOS before a lot of people. Here's the comment, and I really want to know what You guys(J, junlee...) think about it :-) :

BEYONCE "IF I WERE A BOY"

Ok...the beat on YOUTUBE that wa slow and country sounding is FALSE...this is a midtempo...but FIRE....not male bashing, but more of teaching men how to do their job sort of...
a line in the song says "If I were a boy I'd have my ish on lock, so i wont have to worry bout my shorty creeping"...YOU ALL ARE IN STORE FOR A TREAT.....Im hearing that the song will be relased in 2 weeks......DATS ALL FOLKS...all non believers..thank me when the song really drops!!!

its r&b...not no r&b soul type of song..not rockish at all...and i wouldnt consider it Pop either

I THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD AT LEAST TAKE THE HYPE OFF OF WHAT ITS ABOUT, IS IT A ROCK SONG, AND IS ALL THE BUZZ WORTH IT....AND TO ANSWER THE QUESTION...ITS DEFINITELY WORTH THE BUZZ

WE ALL SIGN A FORM ABOUT COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT AND LEAKING OF MATERIAL AND THINGS...AND THE STATION CAN BE FINED HEAVILY..SO I DONT THINK RADIO STATIONS ACTUALLY LEAK THE SONGS...ITS DEFINITELY AN INSIDE JOB FROM THE RECORD LABEL OR SOMETHING...IF U ASK ME

NO HAVENT HEARD SINGLE LADIES...MAYBE NEXT MONDAY....I WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED

I GUESS THE POLICE OUTFIT FITS IN CAUSE SHE WAS LIKE "I WOULDNT HAVE TO WORK THAT HARD TO DO YOUR JOB"....SHE SAYS IT BEFORE THE CHORUS IN THE FIRST AND SECOND VERSE....DONT KNOW WHAT TO CALL IT ...OH YEAH THE "HOOK"..LOL

I CANT POST LYRICS...THEY'D BE SO INACCURATE CAUSE I CANT REMEMBER WORD FOR WORD...LOL...I JUS WISH I CAN HEAR IT AGAIN, BUT THEY ONLY LET US HEAR THE SONGS ONCE...AND WE FILL OUT A SURVEY ON WHETHER WE LIKED IT OR WHATNOT...

YEAH WE ALL LIKED IT...IT WAS ONLY LIKE 8 OF US...BUT ONE OF THE DUDES WAS LIKE "SUMPTIN ELSE TO HAVE FEMALES TRYNA PLAY US, THINKING THEY CAN TAKE CARE OF A MANS JOB"..LOL IT'S AN ANTHEM THOUGH....

NO ITS HER BY HERSELF...NO FEATURE.....OF COURSE ITS A NUMBER 1.....I JUST HOPE THE VIDEO IS EVEN HOTTER, THAN WE'D BE IN FOR A GOOD START FOR THIS ALBUM.....ITS ALSO FAST ENOUGH FOR DANCERS....NOT "CHECK ON IT" FAST BUT MORE LIKE "DEJA VU" FAST

NO NO NO NO....NOTHING LIKE CIARAS LIKE A BOY...CIARA IS TALKIN BOUT WANTING TO BE LIKE A BOY....BEE IS TALKING ABOUT, HOW A MANS JOB AINT AS HARD AS IT SEEMS...HOW BEING FAITHFUL AINT THAT HARD, WHEN YOUR "SHAWTY"(FOR SOME REASON SHE SAID THIS ALOT WHEN SHE WAS REFERRING TO THE FEMALE) LOOKS GOOD AS WELL AS PUTS IT DOWN, AND HOW IF THE SHOE WERE ON THE OTHER FOOT, SHE COULD DO IT WITH NO PROBLEM

  4. Given the song was produced by Toby Gad, I wasn't expecting it to be R&B at all anyway. It'll be interesting to hear Beyonce over such a guitar lade, pop tinged track (which is what I think the song will end up being). The poppiest she's gone so far has been with "Irreplaceable".
